With a new year of WWE 2K, we have some great new game modes and in-game offerings for you to explore!
Gameplay
WWE 2K25 features a host of new improvements to gameplay, including new match types and stipulations, such as the Underground Match, Bloodline Rules Match and Intergender matchups, the return of Chain Wrestling and much more. Damage can now be done to LED barricades/signs by diving, slamming or Irish whipping opponents into them. Newly added this year is third-person camera support in online matches and the ability for each player to control their own camera, as well as new brawl environments such as the WWE Archives and NXT Parking Lot, so players can truly Rule Beyond the Ring!
The Island
The Island is an interactive world made up of a series of Districts built around different WWE themes, The Island offers players the opportunity to explore and challenge other players, compete in quests, complete challenges, engage in live events, earn unlockable content and upgrade and customize their MySUPERSTARS through multiple storyline chapters, available only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Intergender Matches
WWE 2K25 introduces a totally new way to experience wrestling mayhem with the long-awaited Intergender match. Pit WWE or player-created Superstars from the men’s and women’s divisions against each other to set up limitless matchups.
New Match Types
New match types include the Underground Match and Bloodline Rules Match. All of the familiar WWE 2K match types, such as Special Guest Referee, Ambulance Match, Casket Match, Gauntlet Match, WarGames, Extreme Rules, TLC, Submission, Hell in a Cell, and many more also make their return.
MyGM
In WWE 2K25 MyGM goes global! The popular WWE brand management simulation lets players take their show on the road and challenge general managers from across the globe in enhanced MyGM with online multiplayer for up to four players. Players can draft WWE Superstars and Legends to weekly show rosters and lead their brand through multiple-week seasons with a bigger selection of General Managers, cross-brand PLEs, and much more.
2K Showcase
WWE 2K25 debuts the all-new 2K Showcase: The Bloodline’s Dynasty, hosted by “The Wiseman” Paul Heyman, celebrates one of the most iconic wrestling family dynasties - The Bloodline and the Anoa’i, Fatu and Maivia families. Featuring Roman Reigns, The Rock, Yokozuna, Jacob Fatu, and more, players can relive historic showdowns or flip the script and change the outcome of select match-ups. Dream matches between members of The Bloodline and WWE Superstars and Legends offer a “what if?” fantasy element to settle fan debates and start fresh feuds, in addition to some surprises in store. Also, we’re celebrating the return of full cutscenes, which many players requested!
MyRISE
MyRISE brings new ways to experience the WWE Universe as players can take control of their MySUPERSTAR from the women’s or men’s divisions in a singular multi-gender MyRISE storyline. Bayley, Kevin Owens, and other Superstars try to infiltrate NXT in efforts to capture control of the entire WWE company. MyRISE features new personality choices that lead to specific storylines, brawl environments, unlockable arenas, characters, objects, and more, including new ally storylines involving Jey Uso, Bianca Belair, Seth Rollins, and other WWE Superstars.
MyFACTION
MyFACTION features new ways to play and new content to collect! Faction Wars now features new mode types, and 50 new stages. World Tour has been replaced by Proving Grounds, enabling players to travel to different locations in a non-linear approach, while additional match-type support for live events and online matches, and new community events offer enhanced replayability. There will be new themed card packs and objectives added regularly throughout the year as seasonal content drops.
Universe
After a long-awaited return, Promos are back! WWE 2K’s sandbox mode also receives new upgrades to give players greater control over their Universe experience. The new system includes multiple promo types and outcomes with new cutscenes and branching choices and more.
Creation Suite
The WWE 2K franchise features the best-in-class, most robust creation suite that remains one of the driving forces for player’s self-expression. Players can design their own custom Superstars, GMs, referees, arenas, entrances, move sets, championships, crowd signs and much more.
