Some Superstars come and go, some are carved into our history forever. Much like the actual heroes and heels of the WWE, your MySUPERSTAR can stick around to leave their mark, but in some cases you may find their data deleted, corrupted, or just plain missing.
Deleted MySUPERSTAR
If you've gone in and deleted your MySUPERSTAR, we do not have a way to reverse that or restore the VC spent on it. That's why, when you go to initiate the deletion, you get a pop-up message with a warning. Once you have confirmed that warning was received, and you're ready to delete, that is a permanent step.
Restoring a Corrupted MySUPERSTAR
When you go to use your MySUPERSTAR, do you get an error, game crash, or similar issue? In this case, your file may have become corrupted. The good news is we've been able to add a recovery option for characters that were not manually deleted!
When you're selecting an empty character slot in the Island, you'll be given the option to Confirm to create a MySUPERSTAR or restore MySUPERSTAR.
When you choose the 'Restore MySUPERSTAR?' button you'll see a spinner for a few moments while the system checks for any recoverable Superstars, and then you'll have one of two results:
If no characters can be found to restore, the spinner on the button will stop and the button will remain greyed out and not clickable
If a character can be restored, the spinner on the button will stop and the button will become something you can click to move forward with your recovery
One the MySUPERSTAR is recovered, it may appear with the base OVR, but no worries! Just head into the Island, go to the Menu and tab over to SUPERSTAR. Then head to the Training Shop to get the data to properly sync so your Superstar can update to its previous OVR.
When you recover a MySUPERSTAR, some elements will come back just like before, and some are not automatically brought back.

For name, clothes, and appearance, you will be able to go in and manually choose these again, just like any Superstar update you would make normally!
Missing MySUPERSTAR
And then there are the rare times when you just don't know what happened! First, carefully consider if someone else has access to your console or account. We see a number of cases where trusted friends and family are the responsible culprit for these vanished Superstars. Should you be sure that isn't what happened, you can follow the steps above for a Corrupted MySUPERSTAR to see if it can be recovered.
